Macropodus opercularis
The paradise fish has been familiar to aquarists since the mid- 1800s. It is
the "black sheep" of the family, but possesses the advantage of withstanding temperatures
down to 15%C - sometimes even lower for short periods. The female lays several hundred
eggs which hatch in 2 days or so. Size: 10-15 cm.

СОЛИГАЛИЧ , город (с 1778) в Российской Федерации, Костромская обл., на р. Кострома, в 95 км от ж.-д. уз. Галич. 7,5 тыс. жителей (1993). Льнообрабатывающий, маслосыродельный заводы, известковый комбинат. Бальнеогрязевой курорт. Краеведческий музей. Известен с 1335 под названием Соль-Галицкая. Ансамбль Воскресенского монастыря (17 в.), церковь Николы на Наволоке (кон. 17 в.), Рождественский собор (17-19 вв.).
