Megalamphodus megalopterus
The black phantom tetra lives in shoals, in acidic, clear water, and needs plenty
of swimming space. Breeding is difficult: use diffused lighting, and peat filtration
giving a pH of 6. Under these conditions, the female, recognized by her shorter
dorsal fin, can lay up to 300 eggs. Size: 4-5 cm.
